JOB DEVELOPMENT/PLACEMENT SERVICES
Divine Employment Services provides Job Development and Job Placement assistance which include:
• Developing a personalized employment plan
• Searching for full-time & part-time integrated employment
• Seeking paid internship opportunities
• Enrolling in vocational training for specialized certifications
• Assist with interview skills and techniques
REMOTE SERVICES
Divine is currently providing Traditional and Remote services to our clients. Remote services are delivered via virtual platforms, such as Zoom and Duo. Clients are given the opportunity to receive services in a location he/she deems safe. Staff is available to train clients and their circle of support on virtual platforms.
PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (PIP)
Divine Employment Services has partnered with several businesses to allow our clients to receive on-the-job training. The program is tailored to meet the need of each individual and their career choice. Intern opportunities allows the individual to gain work experience, while sampling and narrowing down career choices.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Divine Employment Services provides work-site Employment/Internship Support. Our agency provides ongoing assistance to individuals with full-time or part-time employment in the integrated labor market. We assist our clients with support and mentoring to maintain employment.
Worksite Employment/Internship Support includes:
• Advocating for pay and negotiating wages
• Assisting with the orientation and training process
• Explaining / Assisting with the assignment
• Explaining employer policies to the Individual
• Assisting the individual to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
• Assisting the Individual to maintain excellent work performance and strong work ethic
• Providing verbal clues and prompting
• Teaching the Individual how to advocate for themselves
• Reinforcing pre-employment training
• Providing employment support
• Assisting the Individual to complete assigned duties when necessary
MOBILITY TRAINING
To promote self-sufficiency, Divine Employment Services is dedicated to assisting our clients to gain independence by becoming efficient with public transportation and Access OMNI services.
Mobility training: Coordinates training for individuals who require specialized services or instruction to learn how to safely use public transportation.
• Proper bus riding behavior
• Dealing with strangers
• Recognizing the correct bus and bus stops
• Using TAP Cards
• Handling fair (Currency & TAP Cards)
• Safety
Access: Helping individuals apply for Access transportation services and coordinate Access bus rides to/from work.
Divine will also assist clients with studying for DMV written exam.
